Wild Roots Learning Community Spring 2023 Pledge Donation

Donate what you can based on the pledge scale provided below. This is a 1 time donation. You can choose to donate monthly or for all of spring in advance. If you choose to donate monthly, you will come to this page each month and donate the monthly pledge amount.

We are asking Wild Roots families to pledge a donation that works for them with knowledge of the
sliding scale below. This would be a pledge for what can be donated to Wild Roots for 5 months
(January-May 2023) for Mondays & Wednesdays from 10-3pm. Our community believes in
open, transparent conversations around financial needs. Your pledge will go directly towards paying
rent, facilitators, and providing resources for Wild Roots learners & community members. Wild Roots
offers public access to records of how all Wild Roots funds are spent and welcomes collaboration,

Pledge Scale: $125-$500 a month per child**
**Note: We will not turn anyone away regardless of ability to pay. We do, however, request that families who cannot contribute financially work with us to find another way to contribute. We are also aware things can change month to month and welcome conversations if needs change as the fall progresses.

Wild Roots has two primary goals to maintain the financial stability and honor the needs of our
community:
1. To be 100% inclusive of all interested families.
2. To pay co-creators (facilitators) an appropriate stipend so that their work in the Wild Roots
community is sustainable.
For this fall, the pledge needs to average $375 paid per participant to be sustainable.
Knowing that the goal is to average $375 a month per learner, please consider what you can afford
to pay on a sliding scale of $125-500 a month.
In assessing where you may fall on the sliding fee pledge scale, please consider the following:
- Your place in the global economic context
- Your access to wealth in your family
- People counting on you as financial dependents (children, elders, community)
- Historical discrimination faced by your people/groups
- Your current income
- Your desire and ability to support Wild Roots Learning Community & future endeavors
- Your desire and ability to support other families in accessing Wild Roots Learning Community
