FAVOR at the Roslindale Farmers Market!
Published on August 20, 2022 by Cheryl J. Rosenberg

Hello, friends and wonderful humans!

I thought I'd share some photos from our table at the Roslindale Farmers Market the past couple of weeks, where we're having fun connecting with the community! We are giving out Summer Eats meals for kids and teens through Project Bread's program. We are also supporting efforts to close the SNAP gap and educate people about SNAP. Sheila is our friendly neighborhood SNAP Advocate, and she has been helping folks apply for SNAP, and making sure current SNAP participants are taking advantage of their HIP and Double Up Food Bucks benefits.

WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP! We are still serving the community every Friday with food programs at Washington Beech and Archdale, up to 150 households each week. For many of us, the pandemic is over and things are back to "normal," but food insecurity in Massachusetts DOUBLED in the past 2 years and remains high. BIPOC households with children have a higher incidence of food insecurity (1 in 3 households are food insecure) than white households (1 in 7).

We appreciate your support and will take any donation amount you can spare! If you would like to volunteer with us in a fundraising or communications capacity, email

Thank you!

In solidarity,
