About
Food Not Bombs (FNB) is an all-volunteer movement founded in 1980 to recover food which would otherwise be discarded and share it with those in need. Chapters of the movement are found in over 1000 cities worldwide. In response to the pandemic, some Seattle Food Not Bombs volunteers mobilized and created Emerald City FNB. Emerald City FNB has a weekly free market of organic deli items, produce, baked goods, dairy products, canned and dry foods. We are also a distribution spot to other mutual aid groups in the community which distribute to community fridges, shelters, and other free food markets.
